WHAT’S HAPPENING AT OLDFIELD – Sept. 18

Nourish Your Roots 2020 Community Campaign is now on!
With fundraising not possible through students this fall, Nourish Your Roots, a farm-to-school fundraiser, has adapted and moved online for 2020! Buying a box of fresh, local produce is easier now than ever with the new Nourish Your Roots Online Store!  You may purchase a box online and still support Oldfield Consolidated.

Dedicated farm partners have been working hard to prepare for deliveries starting on September 28th and running through to the end of October. Boxes will be available for pick-up at the Sweet Spot Chocolate Spot in Elmsdale or anther community sites of your choosing.

Support our students and farms around the province this fall by purchasing or donating a Nourish Your Roots box today! Visit https://www.nourishns.ca/

Inclement weather:
As you know, we are spending more time outdoors to promote movement, socially distant socializing opportunities, and a chance for some to have multiple break from masks. With rainy days in the forecast, please ensure that your child comes to school wearing appropriate clothing for the weather, such as a rain coat or jacket with a hood.

No School on Friday:
There will be no school for students on Friday as teachers will be participating in professional development

Photo Day:
Monday, September 21st is Photo Day at Oldfield.  Many students returned their background choice, but in case you didn’t here’s a link in case you need it: https://www.photomasterstudios.ca/photomaster/Backround_slip_for_schools...

Terry Fox Run:
Students will be participating in the Terry Fox run at Oldfield on Thursday within their classroom cohorts at pre-selected times throughout the day.  If you’d like to make a donation through Oldfield you can either go to https://terryfox.org/#
(Please do not send any money with your child – we are not accepting donations)
